The buyer will be responsible for getting the right quantity of the right product to the right place at the right time
for the right price.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Negotiates with vendors for good and services, negotiating the best possible price and service guarantee
Adheres to all purchasing policies
Checks requisitions for appropriate approval and account numbers
Ensures proper supplies arrived and invoices are billed correctly per Purchase Order System
Documents all Purchase Orders in ERP System and closes out same monthly
Traces delinquent arrivals from Purchase Orders
Complies with safety and company guidelines on business ethics
Travel up to 5% required
All other duties assigned by management
Skills:
Must have competency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Planning and organization: ability to plan and manage multiple tasks
Attention to detail
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; preferred
Experience in purchasing required
Must possess 5 year driving record with clear history for the past three years
