Kaspar Outdoors: Marketing & Social Media Coordinator

Job Description:

Primary Function:

Utilize and manage various brand-owned social media accounts and websites to communicate and support the company’s value proposition and strategic goals while providing an excellent customer and user experience, as well as execute and manage various marketing projects and campaigns.

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Execute daily content calendar with the creation and promotion/publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence on company sites, and encourages audience participation
  • Closely monitor social channels – engaging with and responding to customer questions and inquiries in a timely fashion and in a manner that supports/follows the company’s tone and voice
  • Create dynamic written, graphic, and video content following brand guidelines
  • Work with production team to maintain up-to-date available rifle inventory for use in social posts and website listings
  • Product photography and editing following established guidelines
  • Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts, and propose new ideas and concepts for social media content
  • Compile weekly and monthly KPI reports for management showing results (ROI) whenever available
  • Serve as project manager for various marketing projects across multiple companies
  • Attend and work tradeshows as needed
  • Coordinate and schedule business travel and accommodations for the sales and marketing team when necessary
  • Organize and prepare for meetings, including scheduling and sending reminders
  • Run miscellaneous errands for businesses purposes
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Photography and photo editing – Adobe Creative Suite
  • Video Editing – Final Cut Pro, iMovie, or comparable
  • Google analytics/SEO/Social Insights
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities
  • Very strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field preferred
  • Three years of experience managing online communities, creating social media content, and some experience in crafting content strategy. – Ability to show a portfolio of managed brand channels (content production and community management) a plus
  • Passionate about the creation of content with an understanding of how tone and storytelling facilitate engagement
  • Works well under pressure and is capable of remaining calm and focused despite rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines
  • Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary (ie: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management)
  • Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects.
  • Proficiency/mastery social media channels and emerging social media trends.
  • Proven ability to create content specifically for social media communication.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Must possess current and valid driving record with clear history for the past three years

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of sitting and/or walking (33% – 75% of time)
  • Stooping, bending, twisting, leaning (10% – 25% of time)
  • Lifting of 25-50 lbs. occasionally (0% – 33% of time)

Work Environment (This position requires that the employee be able to work in and around the following elements):

  • Typically inside a climate-controlled office and is required to occasionally move from office to manufacturing areas and outdoors to perform duties

Occasional exposure to manufacturing environment where the use and wear of proper protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses or side shields on glasses and closed toe shoes are mandatory
