Garrett Bottlinger
President
With five generations of family history rooted in the Texas Hill Country, Garrett Bottlinger grew up learning the values of hard work, determination, and versatility. Whether it was working summers for his dad’s landscape company or helping his grandfather work cattle, Garrett learned and appreciated the value of a hard day’s work and an independent spirit.
Garrett graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Finance. His roles within Corporate Development, Strategy, and Investment Banking allowed him to pursue his passion for helping companies develop and grow. This took Garrett on a journey through Dallas, Houston, New York City, and Los Angeles. He worked across a variety of industries, including oil & gas, manufacturing, and media/entertainment.
Garrett returned to his Texas roots by joining Kaspar Companies in January 2022. He relocated and built the Stiller Actions business from Garland, TX to Shiner, TX. He joined Circle Y as Vice President of Operations when Kaspar Companies acquired the business in August 2023. Garrett took over as President in March 2024.
Garrett and his wife, Shelby, have one beautiful daughter (for now), Blake. He has a passion for spending time with his family, hiking and long backpacking trips, bass fishing, gardening, golf, and fitness activities such as weightlifting or running.
Scott McClaugherty
Vice President of Sales
Born into a fifth-generation South Texas ranching family, Scott McClaugherty worked the family ranch as a child and a college student gaining an appreciation for family values, stewardship, and versatility at an early age. After graduating from Texas A&M – Corpus Christi with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management, Scott went to work in the oil and gas industry for a short time. In 1999, Scott joined Kaspar Companies and started the retail operations section of the business. Over the next two decades, he has grown into larger roles within Kaspar Companies as the business has grown and the needs have evolved. Today he leads the sales for multiple subsidiaries for Kaspar Companies. Scott enjoys spending time and traveling with his family, loves the outdoors and stewardship of the land he owns, and working his family’s team of performance horses.
Darrell Nephew
Vice President of Tucker Trail Saddles
Joining Steve Tucker as a teenager shortly after he moved what would become Tucker Trail Saddles out of his parents’ garage, Darrell Nephew brings a wealth of experience and expertise. Darrell has done pioneering work in saddle fitting because of his dedication to ensuring the comfort and well-being of the horse while seeking to keep trail riders in their saddles longer. Darrell is known for his sharp observations, paying attention to what riders need, and creating the most comfortable, best looking, and best performing saddles in the Trail category. Darrell and his bride of 35 years, Eleece, enjoy spending time with their five children and doting on their five grandchildren. In addition to riding, he is an avid, competitive tennis player.
Jerry Courtney
Vice President of Marketing & Digital Products
Jerry grew up in the small town of Robinson in southeastern Illinois. Growing up in a blue-collar family, he learned the value of an honest day’s work, the quiet pride that comes with hand-made quality, and the work ethic that goes along with it. Professionally, Jerry most enjoys learning why and how people make their decisions, creating ways that will help them make better and more efficient decisions, and then determining ways to continuously improve that process for them. He has a wide variety of experience in marketing, research, product, and even spent time as a plant manager. He is incredibly proud to have been the VP of Marketing at Ranch Hand who oversaw the reinvention of the brand identity. Jerry is happily married to the love of his life and his best friend, LeAnn. He will talk your ear off about his two children (Jackson and Addison), the Chicago Cubs, music of any genre, and/or his dog, Wrigley.
