Primary Functions:

Kaspar Companies has an exciting opportunity for an IT Systems Developer to join our dynamic team. Based in Shiner, Texas, you will play an instrumental role as we implement AI, RPA, and modern ERP solutions across our diverse manufacturing operations. As IT Systems Developer, you will realize our vision of innovation in manufacturing and technology. This is your chance to gain valuable experience bringing cutting-edge systems to life.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain APIs: Work closely with the AI/RPA Lead and ERP Architect to develop seamless system integrations.
  • Create ETL Processes: Design and manage ETL pipelines for various ERP systems and data repositories.
  • Administer Azure Environments: Manage Azure SQL databases and assist in Azure Data Analytics initiatives.
  • NLP GPT AI Model Development: Build and tune a company-wide AI model for custom reporting and solutions.
  • Optimize Semantic Indexing: Improve search functionalities within our data repositories.
  • Manage Security and GitHub: Uphold security standards and manage code repositories on GitHub.
  • Power Platform Development: Create Power Apps and Power BI reports and utilize Power Query and PowerShell for various tasks.
  • Optimize Databases and Queries: Regularly review and refine SQL databases and queries for optimal performance.
  • Code Refactoring: Refactor and optimize existing codebases for maintainability and performance.

Skills and Experience:

  • Programming: Proficiency in Python, C#, or similar languages.
  • Data Management: Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Azure: Experience with Azure SQL and Data Analytics.
  • Natural Language Processing: Previous work with NLP, particularly GPT models.
  • ETL Tools: Familiarity with data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Power Platform: Skilled in Power Apps, Power BI, Power Query, and PowerShell.
  • GitHub: Solid experience in managing codebases through GitHub.
  • Security: Understanding of software development security best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in Azure, Power Platform, or related technologies are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting of 40 lbs. occasionally (0% – 33% of time)
  • Stooping, bending, twisting, leaning (10% – 25% of time)
  • Extended periods of sitting (33% – 75% of time)

Work Environment:

  • Typically, inside a climate-controlled office and is required to occasionally move from office to manufacturing areas and outdoors to perform duties.
  • Occasional exposure to manufacturing environment where the use and wear of proper protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses or side shields on glasses and closed toe shoes are mandatory.
