Christopher Kaspar hails from the small and mighty town of Shiner, Texas. He proudly wears a Texas A&M ring on his right hand and a wedding band on his left. Chris’s left brain earned a bachelor’s in Marketing at Texas A&M and his right brain earned a master’s in Studio Art at Drury University. As a filmmaker, Chris has directed promotional films for ministries across the nation, including Focus on the Family, Young Life and Chick-fil-A’s WinShape Homes. His metaphorical short film, “Dissonance & Grace”, received awards at multiple festivals, and his work for Chick-fil-A aired on an ESPN Super Bowl broadcast. Chris serves as President and Creative Director of Espresso, and is also an extremely talented musician, interior designer, filmmaker, studio artist, photographer, board game hobbyist, and dad.
In 2014, under the leadership of Kaspar Companies, Cherise co-founded Espresso with her cousin, Christopher Kaspar, and has loved watching the company grow. Graduating summa cum laude from Texas A&M with a Finance degree, Cherise started her career in real estate but always had a love and interest in the softer skills of business that includes visual and psychological influences and effects.
Although not a career creative herself, she enjoys helping manage creatives and seeing their ideas come to life. Resident editor by default, she enjoys reading and words and has come to enjoy writing in some scenarios. Nicknamed "BossMom" at Espresso, Cherise and her husband, Derrick, love parenting their son, Rhyder, and as a family, they enjoy many adventures including waterskiing, snowskiing, driving things fast, hunting, and sporting events.
Barbara Vasek brought her PMP certification and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt to Espresso to help infuse structure and process throughout the agency. Barbara graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics and thoroughly enjoys handling multi-million dollar budgets, proposals and projects — Barbara loves numbers, processes and spreadsheets. Her IT and project management experience in the healthcare, financial services and education industries brought great value to the creative and talented Espresso team.
Barbara is a true Texan grandmother, superbly skilled in hunting, sewing and cooking. She also enjoys researching old Texas dance halls … and then dancing in them!
Paul Bowden joined the Espresso team as the web assets manager where he maintains, manages and works as a developer on more than 20 websites for Espresso and its diverse clientele. Over a decade of hands on experience in team management, customer service and computer repair services coupled with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Media Studies makes Paul uniquely qualified to bridge the communication gaps between clients, creatives and web developers.
Paul and his wife, Samantha, are devoted to serving at their local church. Paul plays drums and guitar for the worship band, Samantha teaches teens in AWANAS, and they both serve as teachers and mentors for their church youth group. In their spare time there is nothing they love more than finding a great show to binge watch on Netflix.
Espresso is a small-town, big-thinking marketing agency. We’re a lean, mean group of creatives and planners. We break down and reconstruct perceptions. We ask deep questions to uncover simple truths. We build brilliant brands, brick, by brick, by brick.
